Watch BJ the Chicago Sing the National Anthem for President Obama’s Farewell Address

Earlier today, BJ the Chicago Kid took to his Facebook to announce that he’d be singing the national anthem for President Obama’s farewell address. “I couldn’t tell y’all before, but I can tell y’all now…we’re out here at the farewell address of the President of the United States, Mr. Barack Obama,” he said. “This is his last day in office and it’s an honor to sing his last song.” Watch his announcement and the performance below.

Earlier tonight it was announced that Eddie Vedder will be performing at the address, joined by the Chicago Children’s Choir. Vedder performed at a fundraiser for Obama’s re-election in 2012. You can stream the farewell address tonight here.
