Watch Chance the Rapper Perform Kanye’s “Waves”

Chance the Rapper kicked off his tour last night at San Diego’s Valley View Casino Center. As well as material from last year’s Coloring Book, he played a couple tracks from Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo—including his own version of “Waves.” (He previously shared his demo of the track.) He also did “Ultralight Beam” and let the crowd sing the start of “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1.” While Chance performed “No Problem,” the screen showed several record label logo parodies: Def Jam (“Don’t Join Recordings”), Sony (“Phony”), and more. Watch it all happen below.

Chance recently held his mysterious “Magnificent Coloring World 2” event, which was open only to fans in the top 0.001% of Chance’s SoundCloud listening fan base. The performance, which took place at a secret location, is rumored to have been filmed for an upcoming Netflix special.
