Watch Common Perform With Robert Glasper and Bilal at the White House

Common performed a “Tiny Desk Concert” for NPR at the White House during the inaugural White House SXSW South by South Lawn event yesterday. He was joined by Robert Glasper and Bilal, and performed “I Used to Love H.E.R.” as well as three new songs: “Letter to the Free,” “The Day the Women Took Over,” and “A Little Chicago Boy.” Watch it go down below. The last song is a dedication to Common’s father who passed in September 2014. All three new tracks are taken from Common’s forthcoming album Black America Again, out in November via Artium/Def Jam.

The rapper recently shared the title track from the album, featuring Stevie Wonder, with a video featuring the footage from Alton Sterling’s shooting. Black America Again is also slated to include Anderson .Paak, the Internet, and Jay Electronica.
