Watch Lin-Manuel Miranda Turn Biggie’s “Ten Crack Commandments” Into New Pro-Hillary Song

For Hamilton, Lin-Manuel Miranda interpolated the Notorious B.I.G.’s “Ten Crack Commandments” as the “Ten Duel Commandments.” Now, he’s refitted the song in support of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Last night, he performed the new version with Hamilton’s Renée Elise Goldsberry at a Clinton fundraiser, encouraging people to campaign and vote for Clinton. He raps, “Watch her campaign with the man Tim Kaine/Tim Kaine in the membrane, Tim Kaine in the brain”–a Cypress Hill nod. (It’s a good thing the vice presidential candidate already has a rap name: Lil Kaine.) Watch Miranda and Goldsberry perform below, and check out the lyrics.

Lin-Manuel Miranda is a friend of the White House. Earlier this year, he freestyled with President Obama in the Rose Garden. Several artists, including Grizzly Bear’s Ed Droste, Mary J. Blige, Pusha T, and Sia, have also shown their public support for Clinton. Push has even sold pro-Clinton t-shirts.
