Watch Major Lazer, Nicki Minaj, PARTYNEXTDOOR’s New “Run Up” Video

Major Lazer have shared the music video for their song “Run Up,” featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR and Nicki Minaj. It’s directed by Paul, Luc and Martin (Stromae’s directorial collective under his creative label Mosaert), and produced by Phantasm. In it, PND and Diplo host a house party and Nicki FaceTimes into the shindig. In a press release, Paul, Luc and Martin said, “The idea was to laugh at ourselves and at the unconditional love we bear to our smartphones.” They added, “Humor and absurdity came naturally in our speech because our will was not to accuse someone or something but just exaggerate it to foster reflection.” Watch the video below.

Major Lazer’s most recent LP, Peace Is the Mission, arrived in spring 2015. “Run Up” follows Major Lazer tracks with Justin Bieber and MØ (“Cold Water”), Showtek (“Believer”), Protoje (“Christmas Trees”), and Bad Royale (“My Number”).
