Watch President Obama Dance to Drake’s “Hotline Bling” at the White House

Last night, BET held its “Love and Happiness” event on the White House’s south lawn. It was the final musical event of the Obama presidency, and all evidence points to a good time had by all. The show featured performances from Jill Scott, Usher, the Roots, Bell Biv DeVoe, Janelle Monáe, De La Soul, and more, the Associated Press reports. Below, you can find a clip of POTUS getting down to Drake’s “Hotline Bling,” and a speech he delivered reminiscing on his administration’s musical legacy.

According to a tweet from the musician James Poyser, President Obama apparently dabbed with Usher in the middle of the dancefloor. At one point in the night Obama joked, “There will be no twerking tonight. At least not by me. I don’t know about Usher.” BET will air the full concert on November 15.

BET’s concert follows the White House’s recent collaborative event with SXSW: South by South Lawn. Read about South By South Lawn and Obama’s musical moments in our feature “The Presidential Suite: A Look Back at Obama’s Musical Milestones.”
