Watch Spoon’s New Video For New Song “Can I Sit Next to You”

Spoon have shared a new song and video from their upcoming album Hot Thoughts. Listen to “Can I Sit Next to You” and watch the spooky video, directed by Marcel Dzama, below. It follows the first single, “Hot Thoughts.” According to a press release: “If the new Spoon single ‘Can I Sit Next To You’ feels eerily familiar, like something that’s been playing in the background of your life for the last few months, there’s actually a good chance it has: For the last few months, a campaign of subliminal placements of ‘Can I Sit Next To You’ has seen the unreleased, unidentifiable track being played at various clubs and venues, as American Airlines boarding music, even by the house bands of the ‘Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ and ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live.’” Earlier today, the band announced new tour dates in the United States and Europe. They also recently rolled out an “Aura Reader” in collaboration with Spotify, which allows fans to generate custom artwork based on their favorite Spoon songs. Hot Thoughts arrives March 17 via Matador.
