Yep Roc to Reissue Studio One Catalog, Starting With the Wailers' The Wailing Wailers

Yep Roc is reissuing the catalog of Studio One, the reggae label founded by legendary Jamaican producer and record mogul Clement “Coxsone” Dodd. The debut release will be the Wailers‘ The Wailing Wailers, out May 27, which features Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer. The long out-of-print LP will be released with its original tracklisting, which is presently unavailable on CD. It’ll also feature the original artwork. Below, hear a stream of “One Love” from the record.

The total reissue series will include more than 150 titles. “We are excited for the opportunity to re launch the Studio One brand and thankful for the trust that Carol (Dodd) and her team has afforded us,” Yep Roc’s Billy Maupin said in a press release. “Through reissues of classic titles as well as new collections, we want our releases to reflect the history and legacy of Jamaica’s most iconic label. Here’s to the next 60 years!”
