Sannhet: "Revisionist"

Even the most open-minded listeners can only make so much room for instrumental metal in their lives. It’s understandable: the lack of a vocalist can make it difficult to forge an emotional connection if you’re unconcerned with mad skillz, and so many supposed “crossover” acts just sound like heavier versions of Explosions in the Sky. And so here we are talking about Brooklyn’s Sannhet, but I’m at a loss with “Revisionist”. They have a typical power-trio set-up. There’s no high-minded rhetoric explaining their goals....

Adult Swim’s “The Jack and Triumph Show”, a show starring Jack McBrayer and Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, premiered on the channel last week. In an upcoming episode, Vampire Weekend‘s Ezra Koenig orders coffee at McBrayer and Triumph’s coffee shop and gets subsequently ripped by that rambunctious dog. Björk Keeping Vulnicura Off Spotify: ...

Björk‘s latest album Vulnicura is currently not on Spotify. In a conversation with Fast Company, she said the “streaming thing just does not feel right. I don’t know why, but it just seems insane.”  She further detailed why: To work on something for two or three years and then just, Oh, here it is for free. It’s not about the money; it’s about respect, you know? Respect for the craft and the amount of work you put into it. But maybe Netflix is a good model.
