Anderson .Paak, Nile Rodgers, Disclosure, Bruno Mars Hit the Studio Together: Watch

After releasing two excellent albums last year (his solo project Malibu and Knxwledge collaboration Yes Lawd! as Nxworries), Anderson .Paak is currently on tour in Europe opening for Bruno Mars. Now, a new video has surfaced of Anderson and Bruno in the studio together, presumably during some down time between shows. Also in the video are Nile Rodgers and Guy Lawrence of Disclosure; Rodgers can be seen recording with his iconic Hitmaker guitar. Check it out below. While there’s no new music in the clip itself, it’s soundtracked by NxWorries’ “Khadijah.”

Disclosure are currently on a year-long hiatus; their last release, the Moog for Love EP, arrived last summer. Rodgers is set to go on tour with Chic and Earth, Wind & Fire later this year. Anderson’s band the Free Nationals previously announced plans to release their own album this year; check out a clip of them playing basketball with Bruno and his band on tour below. (At the end, Bruno challenges Anderson to come see him on the court.)

Rodgers will speak about his storied career and play some of his classic riffs as part of Pitchfork’s “In Sight Out” series. It happens on May 16 at the Sanctuary at Murmrr Ballroom in Brooklyn.
