Beyoncé, Chance the Rapper, Rihanna, More in “23 Ways You Could Be Killed If You Are Black in America” Video: Watch

Alicia Keys and the We Are Here Movement have collaborated with Mic for a new video called “23 Ways You Could Be Killed If You Are Black in America.” It features Beyoncé, Chance the Rapper, Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Bono, Janelle Monáe, Maxwell, Alicia Keys, Pharrell, Common, Chris Rock, Swizz Beatz, Queen Latifah, and more. In it, each artist identifies a particular victim of police violence and describes how their everyday actions led to their death because they are African-Americans. Beyoncé, for example, speaks on behalf of Philando Castile, who died for “riding in your girlfriend’s car.” Watch it below. Find more information about the We Are Here Movement here.

Last week, Beyoncé wrote an essay called “Freedom” following the deaths of Castile and Alton Sterling. In it, she issued an urgent call to action: “It is up to us to take a stand and demand that they ‘stop killing us.’” That same night, she stopped a concert for a moment of silence for police brutality victims. She later posted a tribute video to the five Dallas police officers who were slain during a protest. More artists, including Drake, Solange, and Blood Orange, have posted reactions to Castile and Sterling’s shootings.
