Buenos Aires Bans Electronic Music Festivals Following Five Deaths at Time Warp

Earlier this month, five people died at the Argentina edition of the Time Warp electronic music festival. It’s suspected that they died of acute poisoning via drug overdose. In response, Buenos Aires’ Head of Government Horacio Rodríguez Larreta has issued a statement saying that the Argentine capital would no longer provide permits for electronic music festivals, as the Associated Press reports. He said that the permit ban will continue until the government passes proposed legislation to control drug use at these gatherings. Read his statement below.
