Cloud Nothings Stream Here and Nowhere Else (In Wingdings) Remix Album
On Record Store Day, Cloud Nothings‘ album Here and Nowhere Else is getting the remix album treatment from several Ohio-based experimental artists. Now, you can listen to Here and Nowhere Else (In Wingdings) below in its entirety via FACT.
The album, which is being released via Northern Spy, features remixes from Outer Space (John Elliott of Emeralds), Bee Mask, Khaki Blazer, and more. FACT has a comprehensive series of interviews with Cloud Nothings and their remixers.
Dylan Baldi writes that he’s not sure what the purpose of a “remix is,” but then discusses how much he values music by his Cleveland-based friends.
To be able to release a record like this is an honor, and I hope all of the people featured on this album know I think of it as such. These are not remixes as much as they are completely new songs, using our work only as the most skeletal outline and filling out the body with the utmost individual personality and creativity.
