Flying Lotus to Curate Sled Island Festival

Flying Lotus has been tapped as the guest curator for this year’s annual Sled Island Music and Arts Festival, which will take place in Calgary, Alberta from June 21-25. While the artist lineup has yet to be announced, the festival has confirmed FlyLo (like past guest curators) will perform during the week, playing at The Palace Theatre on June 24. Past curators include Peaches, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Kathleen Hanna, Tim Hecker, Scott Kannberg, and more. FlyLo’s selections for Sled Island will be announced this spring.

FlyLo’s most recent studio album, You’re Dead!, arrived in 2014. He most recently shared the poster for his upcoming debut feature-length film, Kuso, which will premiere at Sundance and feature new original music from FlyLo, Aphex Twin, and Akira Yamoaka.
