Gorillaz Return With New Anti-Trump Song and Video “Hallelujah Money”: Watch

Gorillaz are back. Today, the Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett-created group has shared a new song called “Hallelulah Money,” featuring Mercury Prize winner Benjamin Clementine. It’s the first release from Gorillaz’s new record, which is due later this year. In the accompanying music video (directed by Gorillaz & Giorgio Testi), Clementine sings from Trump Tower. The visual also incorporates La Candelaria brotherhood imagery. Watch it below, via Uproxx.

Dark times – u need someone to look up to. Me. Here’s a lightning bolt of truth in a black night. Now piss on! New stuff won’t write itself. https://t.co/tOqYnXqrU2

Correction: An earlier version of this story suggested the “Hallelujah Money” video incorporates Ku Klux Klan imagery. The figures are meant to represent La Candelaria brotherhood, Gorillaz representatives have confirmed.
