Jarvis Cocker, Suede’s Brett Anderson Ready New Books

Two Britpop legends began arranging deals for new books at the London Book Fair, an annual book-publishing trade fair. Former Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker is fielding multiple offers for a six-page book proposal that is “emphatically not a memoir,” The Guardian reports. A bidding war has reportedly broken out between publishing companies including Penguin Random House, Macmillan, and Faber; offers have apparently exceeded £100,000. Meanwhile, Suede frontman Brett Anderson signed a deal with Little, Brown for Cold Black Mornings, a memoir that chronicles his life before the band took off.
