Kanye West The Life of Pablo Vinyl Bootlegs Surface on Record Store Day

Kanye West‘s The Life of Pablo hasn’t been officially released on vinyl, but on Saturday during Record Store Day, vinyl copies of the album were reportedly sold in record stores, Fader reports. Photos of the album that surfaced on social media (below) show that copies were released on clear vinyl and came in a sleeve with a slightly altered album artwork. According to The Vinyl Factory, the label behind the release called themselves #tidalforall. A representative for Kanye confirmed to Fader that the copies were bootlegs.

After the album’s initial release, Kanye insisted that The Life of Pablo would never be for sale. Then, the album became available on all major non-Tidal streaming services and landed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. It’s unlikely that the album will be released on CD.

Now that Tidal’s being sued over TLOP, time to talk about the bootleg vinyl version going around on RSD pic.twitter.com/mNQsoKj8dK
