MTV VMA 2016: Beyoncé Brings Mothers of Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown, Eric Garner, Oscar Grant to Red Carpet
Beyoncé is slated to perform at tonight’s MTV Video Music Awards. The singer is nominated for 11 awards tonight, including Video of the Year, Best Female Video, and Best Pop Video, for videos off her visual album Lemonade. When Beyoncé arrived at the red carpet, she brought with her some special guests: daughter Blue Ivy, cast members from Lemonade, and the mothers of Trayvon Martin, Oscar Grant, Eric Garner, and Mike Brown. All of the mothers made an appearance in Lemonade during the song “Forward” except Grant’s.
