New Order Starts Joy Division Twitter Account, Doesn't Tell Peter Hook About It

Thanks to the members of New Order, there’s now a Twitter account for Joy Division. But no one seems to have told Peter Hook, who played bass for both groups but has been fighting with his former bandmates for years. Hook, who was none too pleased when New Order reunited without him, expressed his feelings about the snub on Twitter:

Just set up our new twitter page @joydivision

@neworder Thanks for telling me.. As a member of @joydivision it would have been nice to have been informed.

New Order are working on a new album due for release on Mute in 2015, which would be their first without Hook. (2013′s Lost Sirens was largely composed of existing sessions featuring Hook.) One can only imagine the frigidity of his Tweets when that one drops.
