Sun Kil Moon Announces Universal Themes

Earlier this year, Mark Kozelek revealed in an interview that he was hoping to release a new Sun Kil Moon album “by fall”. Today, Caldo Verde Records have announced the Benji follow-up. It’s called Universal Themes, and it’s out June 2. Thanks to Peter Wyatt for the tip. Check out the tracklist below.

The album features percussion by Sonic Youth‘s Steve Shelley, and it was recorded in San Francisco and Hoboken. A vinyl release will be available later in the year. It features the previously shared single “The Possum”.
