Tracey Thorn Announces Compilation SOLO: Songs And Collaborations 1982-2015

Tracey Thorn is arguably best known for her work in Everything But the Girl, but a new double-compilation is highlighting her solo material. SOLO: Songs and Collaborations 1982-2015 is out October 23 via Caroline International. The 34-track comp features collaborations with Massive Attack, Robert Wyatt, Hot Chip, and others.

Thorn said 0f the collection:

“These tracks represent, on one hand, the moments when I was working as a solo artist outside the constraints and democracy of a band, either recording tracks entirely by myself, or at least being in the driving seat, the one making all the artistic decisions. And on the other hand, those times when I guested with other bands or producers, performing as a featured solo singer, moonlighting from my regular job.”

Thorn’s most recent album was the 2012 Christmas record Tinsel and Lights.
