Watch a Preview of Flying Lotus’ New Short Film

On August 14, Flying Lotus’ new short film Royal will premiere at Sundance NEXT Fest at the Theatre at Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles. It was made under the alias “steve” and serves as his directorial debut. Today, FlyLo has shared a teaser for the film. The clip features sweating, licking, and what appears to be vomit. It certainly fits the bill for what FlyLo called “an awkward love story that’s definitely not for the kiddies.” Watch it below.

Shortly after Royal was announced, FlyLo revealed his inspiration for going into directing: a “pretty awesome” GIF of him and Thom Yorke. See what FlyLo had to say about the GIF here.
